The German Blue Ram (Mikrogeophagus ramirezi) is a dazzling freshwater cichlid native to the slow-moving rivers and floodplains of South America, particularly the Orinoco Basin. Known for its vibrant blue and golden-yellow body, accented by red eyes and flowing fins, the German Blue Ram is a favorite among aquarists for its striking appearance and peaceful temperament.In the wild, German Blue Rams inhabit warm, soft, and acidic waters with sandy substrates and dense vegetation.
