The Balloon Blue Ram (Mikrogeophagus ramirezi variant) is a captivating freshwater cichlid bred for its unique, rounded body shape and vibrant coloration. A variant of the popular Blue Ram, this fish features a shortened, balloon-like body, dazzling blue scales, bright red eyes, and subtle iridescent highlights, making it a striking addition to aquariums.This selectively bred fish does not occur in the wild but shares its origins with the standard Blue Ram, which is native to the slow-moving rivers and floodplains of the Orinoco Basin in South America.
