The Rummy Nose Tetra (Hemigrammus rhodostomus) is a striking and peaceful freshwater fish native to the slow-moving rivers and blackwater tributaries of the Amazon Basin in Brazil, Colombia, and Venezuela. This distinctive tetra is easily recognized by its bright red nose and face, contrasted by a silver body and a unique black-and-white striped, checkered tail, making it a standout in any aquarium.In the wild, Rummy Nose Tetras inhabit soft, acidic waters rich in tannins, surrounded by dense vegetation and shaded by overhanging foliage.
